My bio is that I play the piano. If you had to choose just one instrument to sound like an entire orchestra, you would probably choose the piano. It all has to be done with ten fingers.
It is my purpose to play popular music and to cover many of the songs we all know and with which we have grown up.
Thus, we need a singer to do the melody, and that will take up at least one finger. If we want harmony betwwen more than one singer, this could take up three or four fingers. Then, we need a percussion section, so we need a couple fingers for the string bass and drums. Many of these songs have guitar, and so we need one finger for a moving line , or perhaps several if we are strumming. Now, we have a rock band, but not yet an orchestra. Many of these songs lend themselves to orchestration. If we have any fingers left, we may have to bring in violins, a trumpet, a French horn , or a snare drum. Therein lies the challenge.
